From medical school to the life you imagined

Your career has stages.
Your plan should
understand them.

Training years and attending years ask different things of your money. Neelvana starts with that reality: protect your ability to earn, then evaluate permanent coverage when the need and funding capacity are there.

01

Medical School

Start with debt, cash flow, and existing benefits. Learning about IUL does not mean you need to buy it now.

02

Residency & Fellowship

Review disability coverage, specialty duties, reserves, and protection for anyone who depends on you.

03

First Attending Contract

Reassess benefits and savings as income changes. Test permanent-insurance need and an affordable long-term premium.

04

An Established Practice

Revisit family protection, policy funding, care planning, and the life you want beyond medicine.

The Physician Blueprint · Proposed Design

What Makes
Neelvana Different

The distinction is the combination: permanent coverage, support for policy funding if disability interrupts work, integrated care, and a defined expense milestone. Separate physician disability income coverage addresses the paycheck. Here is what each part is intended to do for you.

01 · Permanent From the Start

A foundation for the people counting on you.

The proposed policy begins as permanent life insurance. It does not start as term coverage that must convert after training or at year ten.

Why it matters for physicians: A long training path should be part of the planning conversation. Permanent coverage may fit lasting family or legacy needs when you can sustain its funding.

02 · Disability Continuation

Help keep your policy funded while you recover.

The proposed built-in benefit would waive specified deductions and add a predetermined contribution to the policy during a qualifying disability.

Why it matters for physicians: An interruption to your ability to practice can also interrupt the money funding your long-term protection. This benefit would support the policy itself.

03 · Separate Physician Income Protection

Your specialty deserves a precise definition.

Alongside Neelvana, separately underwritten disability income coverage would be reviewed for true own-occupation wording, specialty duties, partial disability, and future-increase options.

Why it matters for physicians: Being able to do another job is different from being able to practice your specialty. The exact contract determines when income is payable to you.

04 · Care Built Into the Design

Plan for the day you may need care, too.

Chronic-illness and long-term-care benefits are required parts of the proposed package, sharing one eligible death-benefit pool. A separately insured lifetime LTC continuation benefit is also a design goal.

Why it matters for physicians: Your own care needs could affect both family finances and your legacy. Accelerated benefits would reduce the remaining eligible death benefit; continuation coverage has separate qualifying terms.

05 · The Ten-Year Foundation

An expense milestone you can point to.

The design targets the end of the original acquisition-related charge and original surrender schedule at the tenth anniversary. Ordinary new premiums would not restart that original clock.

Why it matters for physicians: You can evaluate a defined long-term milestone alongside your career plans. Ongoing insurance, administration, care, and loan costs continue. Ten years does not mean paid-up coverage.

06 · Three Clear Crediting Choices

Understand the formula behind your cash value.

A fixed account and two annual Blue Sapphire accounts: one with a cap, one using an uncapped participation rate. Each gives you a different way to credit interest under the policy.

Why it matters for physicians: Busy does not have to mean uninformed. Review the formula, charges, and downside together. Index-linked interest is not the index’s full return, and policy value can fall after charges.

The life behind the white coat.

So much ahead.
So much worth
protecting.

From the first day of medical school to the first patients of your own, you’re building more than a career. You’re building a life.

AI-created illustrative scene. Not customers or a testimonial.

High income, finite space

Your income may outgrow some limits.
Your plan should not.

A high income can restrict direct Roth IRA eligibility and the deductibility of a traditional IRA contribution. It does not close the IRA. Nondeductible contributions, Roth conversions, and employer-plan strategies may still be available depending on your circumstances.

$7,500Combined 2026 traditional and Roth IRA contribution limit. $8,600 at age 50 or older.
$24,5002026 employee deferral limit for 401(k), 403(b), and governmental 457 plans, before applicable catch-up contributions.
Permanent life insurance is not a retirement-account replacement.

It belongs in the conversation only when a genuine permanent death-benefit need exists and long-term funding is sustainable. Eligibility, deductibility, and conversion taxation depend on individual circumstances. Consult a qualified tax professional.

Insurance first. Crediting potential second.

Long-term attention.
Always.

Indexed universal life, or IUL, is permanent life insurance with a cash-value component. It is not a direct investment in an index or the stock market, and an illustration is not a prediction.

Fund your protection.

You pay premiums. Insurance costs and other policy charges are deducted. Maintaining enough funding is essential to keeping coverage in force.

Choose a crediting approach.

Eligible cash value can receive interest through available accounts. Indexed interest follows a formula; it does not equal the index’s full return.

Keep your plan in view.

Review costs, funding, credited interest, and any loans or withdrawals over time. Additional premiums may be needed to prevent a policy from lapsing.

A floor is not a promise that your cash value cannot fall. Policy charges and other deductions can reduce cash value even when indexed interest is zero. Index results, credited interest, and your policy’s net results are different things.

Care is part of love.

Your work matters.
So does your life.

The Neelvana development vision includes chronic-illness and long-term-care support from a shared eligible death-benefit pool, plus a separate goal for insured lifetime care continuation. Planning for everyone else should still leave room for who may one day care for you.

These care benefits are proposed, not available coverage. Triggers, benefit amounts, limits, inflation features, residual death benefit, costs, exclusions, and effects on other policy benefits require carrier design, pricing, and approval. Care benefits are not disability income.

Build the foundation before the architecture

The responsible order
of operations.

No insurance product should jump the line. A physician’s plan should establish resilience first, then evaluate whether permanent life insurance fills a real need.

Stabilize

Protect near-term cash flow and establish an emergency reserve.

Insure the income

Secure physician-grade disability income protection before relying on future earnings.

Capture benefits

Use available employer matching, workplace plans, and HSA eligibility where appropriate.

Review tax paths

Evaluate direct Roth, nondeductible IRA, and conversion strategies with a tax professional.

Test permanent need

Consider IUL only when the death-benefit need and durable funding capacity both align.

Neelvana should complete a sound plan, never compete with one.

Beautiful when it fits. Honest when it does not.

Protection first.
Possibility second.
Clarity always.

A meaningful decision deserves more than a beautiful promise. It deserves the entire picture, including alternatives.

Worth a conversation when…

  • You have a genuine, ongoing need for permanent life insurance.
  • You can fund the policy for the long term after reserves and foundational planning are addressed.
  • You understand guaranteed and non-guaranteed values and will review the policy regularly.

Important to understand…

  • IUL is not an IRA, Roth IRA, workplace plan, savings account, or direct index investment.
  • Costs, surrender charges, non-guaranteed crediting, and loans can reduce values or cause lapse.
  • Term life, standalone disability coverage, or another strategy may fit better. Compare them before deciding.

Room for every question.

An honest
physician review.

No pressure. No complicated language where a simple answer will do.

What is Neelvana?

Neelvana is a proposed indexed universal life insurance design centered on permanent death-benefit protection, long-term cash-value potential, care planning, and disability continuity. This page previews an intended physician experience. It is not an approved insurance offer, policy, or personalized illustration.

Does Neelvana include disability income insurance?

No approved disability income benefit exists today. The concept separates a proposed policy-continuation layer from separately underwritten physician disability income coverage. Policy continuation would support the IUL. Disability income would pay cash to the insured. They are different benefits.

What should a physician review in disability coverage?

Ask about true own-occupation wording, how your specialty duties are defined, total and residual disability, elimination and benefit periods, recovery benefits, future-increase options, mental or nervous and substance-use limitations, exclusions, portability, offsets, taxation, and coordination with employer coverage.

Does high income mean I cannot use an IRA or Roth IRA?

No. Income may restrict direct Roth IRA contributions and the deductibility of a traditional IRA contribution, but it does not close the IRA. Nondeductible contributions, Roth conversions, and employer-plan strategies may still be available. IUL should not be presented as a retirement-account replacement.

Is my money invested in Blue Sapphire?

No. In an indexed life insurance account, an index is a reference used to calculate interest under the policy’s crediting rules. You do not own index shares through the policy. Blue Sapphire is a research-stage index, and its historical modeled results are not live policy returns or a promise of future results.

Does a 0% floor mean I cannot lose money?

No. A 0% indexed-crediting floor, where provided by a contract, applies to the interest calculation, not the policy’s total value. Insurance costs, expenses, withdrawals, loans, and other deductions can reduce value. Neelvana’s final floor and guarantees have not been approved.

Could I access cash value while I’m living?

Many cash-value life insurance policies allow loans or withdrawals, subject to their terms. These can reduce cash value and death benefits, create tax consequences, and increase lapse risk. Neelvana’s access provisions, loan terms, and charges are still under development.

How are care benefits being considered?

Chronic-illness and long-term-care support is part of the Neelvana design vision, including a development goal for separately insured lifetime care continuation. No benefit amounts or eligibility promises are being made here. Qualification standards, costs, limits, exclusions, and interactions with the death benefit require final carrier review and approval.

Can I get a quote or apply now?

Not through this preview. Neelvana is an unpriced, unapproved development concept; carrier issuance, availability, and brand authorization have not been established. No applications, payments, or personal information are collected on this page.

Love, made tangible.

Protect the healer.
Preserve the life.

The goal is not to make life insurance look like everything. It is to learn whether permanent protection, care support, and disability continuity belong together for one physician, one family, and one life.

A question guide, not an application, quote, or recommendation.

Development preview only. Neelvana IUL, its care and disability-continuation features, and the Blue Sapphire Index are development concepts. No insurer has been confirmed as issuing this product. No product approval, state availability, rates, benefits, underwriting terms, triggers, or policy guarantees are established by this page. This is not a solicitation, insurance contract, or personalized illustration.

Design authorship. A personal product-design preview by Nelson Ryan Knill. No employer, insurer or other institution is represented as a sponsor, issuer, distributor or endorser.

Understanding IUL. Indexed universal life is life insurance, not a direct market investment. Caps, participation rates, spreads, charges, and other terms affect results and may change subject to contractual guarantees. A 0% index-crediting floor does not prevent policy values from declining because charges continue. Loans and withdrawals reduce value and benefits, increase lapse risk, and may create taxable income. Modified endowment contract rules can change distribution taxation.

Understanding disability and care. Policy continuation is not disability income. Chronic-illness and long-term-care benefits are not disability income. Any physician disability income coverage described here would be separately underwritten unless formally approved as an integrated rider or companion arrangement. Definitions, elimination periods, limits, exclusions, and benefit periods must be confirmed in an approved contract.

Before making a decision. Review an approved illustration, full costs, guaranteed and non-guaranteed values, exclusions, and alternatives, including term life and standalone disability coverage, with appropriately licensed professionals. Seek independent tax or legal guidance. This page accepts no applications, payments, or personal information.

The Neelvana physician guide

Begin with the life.
Then test the design.

Bring these questions to appropriately licensed insurance and tax professionals when you review your options.

  1. Do I have a genuine, ongoing need for a permanent death benefit, and who depends on it?
  2. Can I fund this policy comfortably after reserves, disability coverage, and foundational savings are addressed?
  3. How does my disability coverage define my specialty, own occupation, residual disability, exclusions, and future increase options?
  4. What would the proposed policy-continuation benefit protect, and what separate coverage would replace my income?
  5. What costs and care-benefit triggers apply, what is guaranteed, and what could require additional premiums?
  6. How do the crediting rules, loans, taxes, and lapse risk compare with term life, standalone disability insurance, and other strategies?

No answers or personal information are requested. This general guide does not determine suitability or provide a quote. Neelvana and every described rider remain proposed and unapproved.
